It’s been awhile…

We have been a wee bit busy in the last week.  Both Heather and Chomp got sick also.  And, Chomp’s been battling his first round of eczema.  Heather’s work schedule has been a little nutty in the last few days, as she was in downtown Los Angeles for a Supervision Course.   Josh has been out to Ojai, Catalina Island, and Thousand Oaks.  But, we are hopefully all back to a normal-ish schedule.  Here’s a picture of Little Chompy today.  We still have him sleeping in the little bed because when we took it away, he did not sleep as soundly.  But, he doesn’t fit in it at all :)   This is him at his nap today.  We put him in the bed the way he should be and then he squirms until he finds a comfy place.  I don’t know why he thinks this is cozy, but to each his own.  (He doesn’t match because he was wearing the cute polo shirt, but then Heather put on all of his eczema medicine and didn’t want him to grab at it, so she reached for the closest pair of sleeping pants.)

Girls weekend with Chomper…

Daddy was gone this weekend to help our friends on Catalina Island set up internet/phone service.  The poor camp was still on dial-up :)   So, Chomp and Mom hung out at home with Aunt Lissa.  She came down from SLO to play for the weekend.  Chomp had his first cold so we didn’t get to go on adventures outside of the house, but we did go on a walk and play lots.  He is now really close to rolling over, and laughs more often.  Here’s a couple of images from the weekend.

Chomp Laughs

Chomp likes his side but won’t roll over…stay tuned :)

Little Chomp Practicing Lifting His Head…

I’m convinced that his head got heavier compared to the rest of his body.  When he was an itty-bitty, he used to hold his head up while he was on his belly fairly well.  Then, he seemed to lose the ability, and hated being on his tummy.  Now, he’ll tolerate being on his stomach for a few minutes and can hold his head up.  He just usually chooses not to.   These are some cute pics of him being happy and proud of himself.   It’s so funny to me how his facial expressions change every moment.

A Little More Chomp…

Here’s a couple of cutie pics of him in a sleeper.  He hasn’t gotten to wear any sleepers since he was an itty-bitty.  This morning though it was finally below 70 degrees.  YAY! :)  For some reason the sleeper made him look like a little baby instead of the big boy he’s been looking like lately.

Baby Laughs….

He laughed today at Josh and I when we were laughing at him for being so cute standing up.  Josh tried to get to the Flip recorder but he wouldn’t do it again.  It was the greatest sound ever!!!!   I don’t really have a picture or anything, but that definitely made our day :)

Little Chomp is 14 weeks old…

Here’s what he’s been up to this week.

Loving “standing” up and doing squats

Swinging.  He does like it after all.   Mom and Dad just needed to put him in one where he could sit up.

Walking/Running is still the best way to take a nap.

Getting more comfortable with tummy time, but is not even close to being interested in rolling over.

Holding onto anything within his reach.

Playing Paddy-Cake and Head and Shoulders.

Little Chomp is 3 Months Old…

Today is Little Chomp’s 3 Month Birthday!!!

How did this happen?????

Too fast, I told him today.  Too Fast.

He just giggled at me and kept growing.

Monthly Bear Pictures:

Month #1

Month #2

Month #3

(disclaimer:  he has started a “fun” new trick where he flings himself wherever he wants to go. Usually this is not where I put him. :) He has figured out how strong his legs are and likes to kick, arch his back, and do baby squats.  So he didn’t cooperate with my ‘Plan’ of getting a full body picture where he wasn’t slouching.  Here’s how high his head is, and then my best attempt. :)
