Chompy goes to the snow…

He liked it, except for his snow boots.  Those he did not like, so we went in our regular shoes and then we were happy!

 

We learned an important trick.  How to throw a snowball!

Since he likes it, Momma’s gonna get him a snowsuit that fits   This is one of his from last year, but since we could zip it up, we figured it would work for a day while we see if he’d even tolerate being outside.  Now, we know, so cheap snow gear, here we come.

I love having a boy now…bye bye little baby.  Welcome to the boy who races cars on his town map and “helps” Daddy and I make fun Duplo towns.  This year is going to be AWESOME!

Because he’s that cute…

I just think this guy is too precious!  LOVE HIM!!! 

18 Months (ALREADY!) YIKES….

Chompy is now 18 months old.  1 1/2 years old…an official toddler!!  WOW! That went so fast!  I have a new perspective on baby-hood.  It’s over in an instant.  I hope to keep being able to cherish each milestone and moment with Chompy as he grows!   He’s such a delight!

As he turns 18 months, he:

LOVES his trucks…making roads with them, driving them on people, lining them up and taking them down.

LOVES to read…especially his truck books (ironic), shapes and color books.

LOVES to eat…mac n cheese, raviolis, peaches, applesauce, spaghetti, waffles, jam, yogurt, marinara sauce, crackers of many types.  Does not love to each much else

LOVES to run, and run, and run! 

LOVES the Disney movie CARS and Special Agent Oso…Mommy loves them too as they keep him focused for his twice daily medicines.

LOVES to slide

LOVES to say hi and bye bye to EVERYONE we meet ANYWHERE!! 

LOVES his bath time.

LOVES his blankies for nap time and bed time.  SOOOO Cute!

LOVES to help Daddy with yard work.

LOVES to help Momma with anything.

LEARNED to say these new words:  Papa, Grandma, Nana, Grandpa, Owen, Livy, Macy, please, Oso, Manny.

CAN POINT OUT:  all of his aunts, his friends’ parents

LOVES to tell you…where you nose, head, ears, eyes, teeth, toes, feet and belly button are.

LOVES to dance

LOVES to pretend to sneeze to get people to giggle.

LOVES to give hugs and kisses.

LOVES to sleep through the night (mostly—we still have 1/3 or so of the nights where he wakes up wet). 

LOVES to chase and be chased.

LOVES to say cheese.

DOES NOT LOVE to be told that he cannot do something. 

LOVES his grandparents!!!

LOVES our Christmas tree and will say “lights” and “tree” when he comes into the room.

DOES NOT LOVE Santa. (Picture to come)

 

We love you Chompy face and are still very thankful that we are your parents!!!!!!!!

Cute new things…

These are some new things that Chompy started doing that we think are soooooooo cute!

He says “I love you!”

He can say “Collin” and points to himself.

He puts his empty bottles in the sink. 

He brushes his hair and his teeth

Although not supposed to be cute since it’s not polite…he now says “no-no” “no-no” and shakes his head when he does not want to do something.

7 Baby Shoot…

Chompy’s group of friends is getting older and bigger.  Here’s the latest edition of the "Thursday Nights” baby group!

 

Chompy (1 year, 5 months), Livy (1 year, 5 months), Brody (9 months), Evelyn (4 months), Iris (1 year),  Addie (3 years, 5 months), and Macy (2 years, 4 months). 

Buddy Walk 2010…

This is our second year of going to the O.C. Buddy Walk to raise money and awareness for Downs Syndrome.  We love getting to be a part of the day and supporting Chompy’s friend Macy.

 

Camping with Granddad and Grandma…

We went to hang out with the Stewarts at the Thousand Trails Campground in Palm Desert!  Chompy had lots of fun running around the campground and the playground.

Here I go, chasing a roadrunner!  I can always find a bird to chase.

I showed up to the campground dressed in my Halloween costume.  I’m a Collie dog…ruff!

17 months....

YIKES!!!!!

Chompy is getting soooooo big!

As he turns 17 months, here's what he's doing:

New words: teeth, trees, bubbles, truck, ear

Animal Sounds he'll say: moo, baa, quack, oooo (monkey)

New signs: help

New body parts: ears, teeth, toes, feet

He still loves his trucks and balls and books.

He will slide all day long.

He loves to help put trash in the can, and dishes in the sink.

He does not like being told no, and we are working hard on sharing with our friends. Sadly, this work includes reinforcing that pushing and pinching are not okay activities.

He has six teeth that are fully in and four molars in process.

He still loves dancing and will have a dance party anytime.

He is still inching towards trying more foods. We have had little steps this month and just need to keep introducing him to new things.

He is a love, smiling and chattering to anyone within hearing distance.

He continues to mostly sleep through the night, although we've needed to do night-time milk for the last couple of weeks. Luckily, he just needs his diaper changed, eat and then will go back down to bed. He's sleeping in later now as well---as in between 6-7am. But that's a far cry from the 5am we used to get. Hopefully the time change this week won't screw him up too badly.

He recognizes momma and daddy in pictures and will point them out.

He loves being with his friends, and continues to enjoy his "school".

Voting...

Chompy went with Momma to vote this morning! He was a pretty good boy considering that there were tons of people and a ballot that seemed neverending. :) He was lucky enough to get his "I Voted" sticker to show that he was present while Momma made her voice known.

Playing on a rainy day…

In between rain today, Chompy and Momma got a little time outside in the yard to tromp around and play!  He got soaked and loved every second.  Now back inside, since he’s sick AGAIN!  :(
