Run through Redlands 1/2 Marathon: Chompy’s Version…

Momma, Daddy and I got up and out of the house early because Momma and I were running the 1/2 marathon today.  We met in downtown Redlands at 7am to make sure we weren’t going to be late.  We made sure that I was all cozy and comfy in my stroller.  We then starting running :)  Then we kept running and running.  We ran all through downtown Redlands, out through the pretty old houses in Redlands, through Prospect Park, and all over the rim of the mountain in Redlands and back down to the Redlands Bowl!  

It was so much fun.  There were lots of people to look at, and animals, and cheering.  I took a nap too.   It took us a little under 3 hours (we aren’t completely sure how long because we took awhile to get to the start line, so we are waiting for the official results, so even though the time says 2:56:19 it may really be a little faster.  We will see).   Official Time:  2:55:20!

This was a very cool part, because there was lots of cheering and so I looked at all the people :)

At the end of the race, all the runners get oranges.  I thought this was a pretty nice reward.

Daddy says this is my other reward :)  He’s so silly! Oh, and in this picture, you can see my secret tooth ;)

Fun Play Date…

Today Momma and I went to the San Dimas area to play with my friend Hope and her mommy.  First we went to the park.

We played in he sand and chased each other in the grass.  Then the big kids came over…so we left to see the….

HORSES!

The horses were doing important training on how to jump and obey their riders…so we went on our way to see the…..

DOGGIES at the Dog Park.

(no those aren’t doggies sillies, those are pretty flowers on the side of the doggie park.  Here are the doggies!)

They were super fun to watch.  They chase each other around like Hope and I chase each other.   Well, one of the doggie’s was outside of the park, and we weren’t so sure about her owners…so we left and went to see the….

Sometimes when you watch planes, it’s good to have something to chew on…we chose sticks. 

Need to Know Basis…

Collin’s getting some teeth, but seeing them is apparently a top secret, need to know only activity, and Dad is not on the need to know list. So far, Collin will close his mouth or stick his tongue out (covering his two bottom teeth coming in) any time Dad tries to look at them. Oh well. Mom says they’re there, so we’ll just have to take her word for it for now.

Taking balls and toys and putting them inside boxes, hats, baskets…and then taking them back out.

Eating—favorites are:  zucchini, pears, mango, blueberry, oatmeal, peas, carrots, papaya, strawberry. 

He is not interested in anything that has chunks in it.  If he finds a chunk of food in his meal, he’ll eat everything else, spit out the chunk and refuse any more bites. 

He has also decided that he is too big for bear pictures.  We tried and these are all that we could get for 10 months :)

Trip to the Oasis…

Momma and I took a trip yesterday to visit Grandpa and Grandma in Palm Desert.  We got to check out their new fifth wheel (its sooo nice!) and visit for the afternoon.  Here are pictures of our trip and our hike :)
