Going Riding with My Daddy…

Momma, Daddy and I went hunting for a good bike trailer so that I can go riding with Daddy on his bike rides.   They didn’t think they were going to get one for me right then, but they found such a good deal that they couldn’t say no.

Here I am trying on my new Duck, Duck, Goose helmet.  I’m ready to ride Daddy!

Momma and Daddy still need to adjust it a little for my itty bitty head.

Letter to Daddy Day 10…

Dear Daddy,

Guess what?  You are coming home tomorrow.  YIPPEE!!!

Today, I got to cuddle with Grandma and Papa after I woke up so Momma could sleep a little bit.  Then, we all left quickly in the morning because Tia Daniellie’s baby shower was today for Owen.

Momma and I came home and had a relaxing day.  I walked and played and ate and slept.  That’s pretty good.

This is a cutie pic of me from today.

IMG00711

Momma and I checked out her garden.  Look—we have strawberries and zucchini flowers :)

IMG00710

IMG00708

Momma also wanted to share with everybody a picture of some of her roses from our new house.

IMG00706She will have to go and water them soon.

Momma and I read books.

Oh, I have more secret teeth to not show you :)  Grandma found them…I have one real tooth, one tooth that is just poking out and two secret teeth, no wonder I’ve been so drooly and a little cranky.

Let’s see.  I think that’s it.  Oh wait, no I also wanted pureed food today instead of a bottle.  How grown up is that?! :)

Ok.  Now, I’m going to bed.  It’s time.

I can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

Love,

Chompy

Dear Daddy Day 9…

Dear Daddy,

We were so busy yesterday that we didn’t even get to write you a letter.

We woke up and drove down to Welk Resort in Escondido to see Papa, Grandma E., and Tia Kixxy.  It was not very warm, but we went to the playground, played catch, and went in the kids water park.  I really liked the water park and wanted to get down and crawl in the fountains.   I didn’t like the baby pool, but we’ll try again this summer.

P1100099Tia Kixxy clobbered me with kisses AGAIN!!!!

Momma and Papa left to meet Mrs. Claudia for the home inspection on our house, so Grandma and Kixxy and I played on the grass and found a kids play zone and wore me out.  Then, Momma and Papa came back.  They said that the home inspector said the house looked mostly good, but there are a few things that we’ll have to fix and talk with an electrical expert (I think Momma called it an electrician) and a person who deals with pipes and water (a plumber, I think).  Luckily, you and Momma know some of those. :)

Grandma got me this onesie on her cruise in Alaska.  It says “Duck! Duck!  Moose!”  hahaha get it?!  That’s so funny!   And, as you can see, I can’t get enough pacis.

P1100101

Here’s a video of me walking and playing with  Tia and Grandma!

Then, they were crazy and took me down the slide.

Then, we played in the playroom.

Then, Papa pretended to be a moose like my shirt and I giggled!

Anyways, I was sooo tired, so I went to bed, while Momma, Grandma and Tia watched the pilot episode of Lost with pop-up info.  They were excited!

Dear Daddy Day 8…

Dear Daddy,

Today has been a good day.  I guess that since I was so tired last night, I slept better.  I only woke Momma up once and we slept in until 6:45am.  YAY!!!

Then, we went shopping as usual.  That Momma takes me to Target a lot!  Momma bought me two pairs of shoes like Momma’s keens.  See?!

IMG00705Then, we came home and I took a long nap again.  I was still tired.

After the nap, Momma and I went to Bracken Bird Farm down the street.  There were so many birds inside.  They have an aviary and Momma and I got to walk all around it looking at the birdies.  We had to go today because Daddy, that place would make you sneeze…ah chooo!   They also had a family of cows and goats and geese and turkeys and a camel.  I did not like it when the baby cow looked at me and mooed.  I held on tight to Momma.  But, I liked looking at the birds, watching them fly, and eat the seeds.    They don’t let you take pictures inside, so here’s what the sign looks like.

IMG00703

After we went to the farm, we stopped by AAA to look into home insurance for our new house.  We got a quote and now we’ll wait to see how tomorrow goes and then get our house all covered.  :)

Yesterday at Thursday Night, I chewed on Momma’s garlic bread.  It was yummy.  Today, Momma thought that she’d try to give me some watermelon so I could hold it like the bread or my pickles.  I didn’t even want to try it.   This is where it sat until Momma gave up and ate it herself.  She said that it was “deeee-licious!”

IMG00704

Then we came home and walked and walked and started to get things together for our trip to Welk tomorrow.  Oh, yeah, we are going to Welk tomorrow with Papa, Grandma and Tia Kixxy.   It will be fun!!

I’m in bed now.  I really don’t like my crib.  I like to rock with Momma in the chair.

I love you Daddy!  You are coming home in three days.  One day of Safari, then a day on the airplanes and the next day you are home.

Love you,

Chompy

Dear Daddy Day 7…

Dear Daddy,

Well, today was very interesting and a day full of firsts.

I went to school with Miss Mercedes.  Miss Mercedes said that I don’t like sleeping in my crib at school anymore, which of course, is true.  So, she asked Momma if she could try an ‘spermint (that means try something out to see if it works).   The experiment is to try to have me nap in a cot like the toddler kiddos do.  It worked.  I took a long nap today in the cot.  Also, she and momma talked about how I am getting close to being able to go to the Toddler room for always since I’m almost 1 and my walking is sooo awesome! :)   So, today,  when Momma came to pick me up, guess where I was?  Did you guess? I was with Miss Christina in the Toddler Room.  The big kids were all in there…..no little babies.  Miss Christina and Miss Melissa said that I did a good job.  I guess that I get to go back and forth between the Baby room and the Toddler room for awhile.  I was very, very tired though after all the “new” things.

Momma and I went to Thursday Night, but I had a hard time staying awake and a hard time being a happy boy.  So, Momma and I came home and I’m totally asleep!  Momma didn’t even get a chance to take pictures of me today, but hopefully tomorrow.

We love you so much and are VERYYYYYY excited that you are coming home soon!   Have fun on your last day of working hard at the school and then have LOTS of fun with the animals on the safari!

Love,

Chompy

Dear Daddy Day 6…

Dear Daddy,

You are coming home in just 5 days.  That is exciting!  :)

Last night, I did not want to sleep in my crib.  Momma kept putting me down and I would cry and raise my hands up in the air until she picked me up.  She’s starting to think that it’s time that I learn how to fall asleep on my own.  Don’t let her Daddy, I want to cuddle!

Today, I went to school and played with all the babies and Miss Mercedes.  Then, I got a treat and got to play with Miss Melissa.   I made her giggle at me because the other babies were taking a nap, and I made all kind of noise by their cribs.  She said “Oh Chompy!”.  Both she and Miss Mercedes have noticed my walking.

Momma came and got me and we went home.  I just wanted to walk and walk and walk when we got home.  So, that’s what I did.  Then, Momma gave me a bath and I splashed so much that I got water all over Momma.  :)   Now, I’m sleeping!

Here’s me being a silly.  I ate a banana cookie off of the floor.  ICKY!  But, then I walked.  YAY!

Ok.  I love you so very much!

You are very inspirational with your trip!  We are very proud of you (that means Momma and I).

Tomorrow, I’m going to school again and then playing with all my friends at Thursday night.

Have a great day!

Dear Daddy Day 5…

Dear Daddy,

Hi!  Did you know that you are now 1/2 way through your trip?  That means that you get 5 more days to play and work hard in Kenya and then you get to come home.  YAY!  Dada, Dada, dada, dada! :)

Today was another busy day.  It seems like every day is busy.  I woke up early again but Momma decided that we weren’t going to get up even if I woke up.  So, we went back to bed.  Momma said “yay!”.

Then, we walked a lot.  I can now officially walk across the living room.  I can also stand up and start walking and if I fall, I just get up and start walking again.  I’m very impressive :)

Momma and I had lunch with our friends at Islands Deli.  Don’t worry, I ate another pickle.  Yep, pretty much the whole thing, except the skin.  Couldn’t quite figure that part out.

Then, we came home and momma fixed BOB.  This is great news!  Mr. Dustin helped let her know what to do and I stood by and watched her do it.   So, we took a walk to the park, played at the park, and walked home.

We’ve been playing a lot at home since we came home.

Here are some pictures of me at the park.  I crawled very fast towards the playground.  The big kids were interesting to watch!

Momma fixed BOB—YAY!!!

These yellow platforms are wobbly but fun to stand on.

Anyway, did you hear that you got us a house???  Mrs. Claudia said that we got the house!

Ok.  It's after 8pm, and I’m still awake, so I need to go to bed.

I love you.  Keep learning lots of new things about computers, so that you can teach me when you get home.

Night night!

Letter to Daddy Day 4…

Dear Daddy,

I hope that you are making good progress on fixing the computers in Africa and making lots of new friends.

Today, I was at school with Miss Mercedes again.  I woke Momma up early again to make sure that we weren’t late to school.  It’s important to be on time  to school.  I walked and walked and walked and walked and walked.  My teachers were very impressed.   I hung out with my friends and we chased each other.  Then, Momma came and picked me up.

This is me playing at home.  I had to make sure that the remote got lots of attention while you are gone.

Once we got home Momma fed me and then we went on a walk.  Poor Momma, she tried to fix the tire on BOB and couldn’t get it to work.  I think that I’ll have to show her all about the bike shop tomorrow.  We do not like the umbrella stroller as much.  We’ve used it the past three days though and it does okay when we need it to.

We put the invitations to my birthday party in the mail today.  It should be a fun day at the park!! :)

When we got back from our walk, I got a bath.   I splashed and splashed!  Then, we read stories and got me ready for bed.  I did not want to go to bed tonight.  I wanted to stay up with Momma, but I couldn’t keep my eyes open.  So, I went to sleep.

IMG00692

I can’t wait to tell you what we do tomorrow.

I love you  soooooo much!

Love,

Chompy

Letter to Daddy Day 3…

Dear Daddy,

Well, today Momma and I played around the house a lot.  We went and got some more plants with the mommy’s day giftcard that I got her.  See the flowers.   She got some star jasmine which makes her think of the garden at Pondy, and hibiscus, which are just fun to look at.  Check out how big the Zucchini plant is on the right.  It’s growing so fast.  Soon there will be zucchini for us to eat.  I’m excited, aren’t you?! :) Oh, and we found the first strawberry on our strawberry plant.  YAY!

P1100082

I was a good supervisor.

P1100087

I played a lot under my “fort”

P1100073

And, Momma was silly and tried to get me to eat these yucky things…I think she called them cheese and cantaloupe, eww gross.  I didn’t eat them and I threw them on the floor where they belonged.

P1100077

I practiced walking while holding onto Momma’s phone.

P1100076

P1100089

I can put my fire helmet on all by myself.

P1100092

You may be wondering why I’m just in my diaper.  That’s because I decided to throw up all over momma, me, my chair everything.  I got a bath and then momma said “no more clothes for you Chompy if you are going to keep throwing up”.  But, then, I was all better and didn’t throw up again.   I don’t know what happened.  But, it’s all okay now.

This is what the living room looked like after I made it all pretty.  This is what I learned on Momma’s HGTV design shows.

P1100094

Notice that I’m sleeping in my jumperoo, I decided to take a nap there.  It’s hard work making a room this beautiful.   Now, I’m in bed.

I hope that you had a great day and helped all the computers feel better like I do now.

I love you!!!

Daddy Letter Day 2….

Dear Daddy,

I had a very busy day today.  I was too excited to stay in bed, so I made sure that Momma was up at 5am to get going.  So, we went.

We played and I kept practicing my walking so that I can be better at walking when you get home.

Then, we went to the Iris Festival in Yucaipa.  Sadly Iris did not go ;)  hee hee hee I made a joke.  But, I hung out with Mr. Dustin and Ms. Sarah and Ms. Annie and Olivia.  Ms. Sarah’s roses won a prize!!! :)

Here’s some pictures of the Festival:

P1100039 That’s just me being silly at the park.  Momma let me push my stroller all around in a circle around the baby park.  I did a good job.

P1100043

There were a bunch of girls doing cartwheels and dancing and stuff.  They looked like they were having a good time.  I liked the music.

P1100044

The whole room smelled like flowers.  They were all very pretty!

P1100045

Hey, look, it’s like a Bonzai like you!

Then, Momma and I came home and we got ready to go to Ms. Monica and Mr. Ryan’s wedding celebration.  Oh, you are in trouble Daddy, ‘cause Ms. Monica’s mommy made amazing mushrooms with teriyaki and bbq sauce and now Momma wants to make them for you.  Look out ;)

It was so fun.  I got to meet my friend Asher.  His mommy and daddy knew you and Momma before you were even married.  That’s so silly.  Asher is really fun and happy.  I liked him except that he crashed a tunnel on me, but it wasn’t his fault and I forgave him.  He forgave me for stealing his stick.  At least I think he forgave me.

Oh and by the way, I like tunnels!  A lot!!!  And, I did try cherries for the  first time today.  And, I love them too!

P1100069

I was exhaustilated ;) from all of our adventures, so I went right to sleep.

Ok, I’ll write you another letter tomorrow.

I love you!

Letter to Daddy on His Trip Day 1…

Dear Daddy,

Here’s what I did today.

I played at school with Miss Mercedes and I had a good day.  I did not want to eat my puffs again.  They are not my favorite, but I ate my food :)   Then, Mommy and I went to Washington Produce and got yummy food for me, I’m going to try cherry puree tomorrow (they gave us a bag for free).   Then, we made this video for you.  After we made the video, I needed to go to bed.  So, I went to bed.  We prayed for you to have good flight and a good rest on the plane so that you can help all the peoples in the school in Kenya with their computers.

We will give you another letter tomorrow.  I love you!  Chomp!  Chomp!

Proof that he Walks…

So, Chompy has been practicing walking since our trip to Zion.  He will giggle and go back and forth between Momma and Dadda.  But, in the last few days, he’s gotten a little more stable.  Here’s some videos…they are not the finest example of his skills, but you get the idea!

YAY CHOMPY!!!!
