Our friend Annie made a cute little video from our Zion Trip. Check it out!
I promise that I’ll get more pictures up soon.
Absolutely in awe!

So, as many of you know I am now addicted to Pinterest. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it is a social media site where you can “pin” things that you love for yourself and others to see. For example, I have a pin board full of DIY projects, another for yummy recipes etc. Well, one of the things that I found was a bunch of people who had done interviews with their kids at different ages so that they could all look back and remember who that child was at each age.
So, today, I decided to interview Chompy. Remember, these are his answers.
cutie pic from Tio Spencer…check out his website here http://www.pbase.com/fotografiks50

Fun things Chompy learned recently:
What an echo is
How to pick berries and eat them off of the vine
How to say “Carry me Momma”… (boo, says Momma
That he now sleeps in a big boy bed not a “baby bed”
A red dragonfly lands on his plastic pool. He screams. "Bad bug. Momma. Pool!". Desperate to get the offender away, he reels Momma into chasing it in circles around the yard as it lights on weeds and hedges, hides in trees and empty gardens. Finally it flies over the fence, and he exclaims "ALL GONE BAD BUG DRAGONFLY!" and cheers "Me did it Momma!". Maybe next time his momma will let him know how cool, delicate, and precious a red dragonfly is, but today, she’ll let it be the enemy!
Chompy now gets beyond excited about his daddy’s backpack. Daddy’s backpack has been the home to Chompy’s special books and toys for safe keeping while Chompy goes to school. Since we have a couple of camping trips planned, and Chompy has his own toys that he wants to carry with him, Daddy decided that Chompy needs a backpack of his very own.
Thank you REI for again bringing this family such joy
I’ve never seen someone besides his Daddy get so excited about getting a new backpack Like Daddy, like Chompy!!
(an aside, look how much bigger he is than the picture behind him).
At 2 I like 2:
Run
Jump
Sneak up on people and scare them
Play hide-and-seek
Color, paint, and create with play-do
Sing songs
Play puzzles and Legos
Read stories
Talk, talk, talk
Help in the garden
Pick out my clothes
Brush my teeth
Visit my family and friends
I don’t get upset very often, and when I do, I get over it pretty quickly.
We love you Chompy boy and can’t believe you’ve been with us for TWO years! We are soooooo lucky to be your parents!
It appears that I slacked off with blogging in the last month. Oops!
Chompy turns 22 months today! Here’s what he has been up to in the last two months:
talking, talking, talking
kicking and throwing balls
building tall buildings with his blocks
LOVING his puzzles
helping Momma run lots of miles with B.O.B. for her big races
eating, eating, eating (we expect a growth spurt sometime soon)
dancing to the music
reading stories
eating with a spoon and fork
playing with his family
pointing out babies everywhere
racing from one corner of the yard to the other
chasing everyone with his bubble blower
being a happy, mostly even-tempered little guy
learning that stomping his feet will not get him what he wants
wearing the dino shirt that Momma made him.
Trying on Dadda’s shoes.
I’m going to get you.
Checking out the new “big boy” backpack for our warm weather adventures.
Chompy got his first haircut this morning. As much as I hated to do it, his curls were out of control and turning into dreadlocks. So off we went…he did great!
